Anti-Spam Provisions
ByRSVP is committed to be a responsible sender of unsolicited bulk messages. We understand and recognize that many Internet users and mobile phone users are very concerned about the unsolicited messages they receive.
As a messaging provider, we try to balance the interests of recipients who need to control and manage unsolicited messages they receive, and the legitimate interests of businesses that want to advertise through email and SMS messaging.
Unsolicited Bulk Messages
ByRSVP interprets Unsolicited Bulk Messages as messages sent to any recipient who did not expect to receive such messages, or whom does not have any pre-existing relationship with the sender. This includes both email messages and SMS text messages.
Our customers are required to understand our policy concerning unsolicited bulk messages. Furthermore, our customers are required to declare their unsolicited bulk messages as such, so that we may render applicable services for such messages.
Compliance with Singapore's Laws
In compliance with Singapore's Spam Control regime, unsolicited bulk messages we transmit will have the following features:
- The message is labeled with a <ADV> tag, which is prefixed to the Subject field of email messages or the actual message of SMS text messages.
- Unsubscription information will be appended to the end of the message.
- We will maintain an audit of all such messages transmitted to facilitate investigation of complaints.
In addition, we maintain a global opt-out registry with which users can enter their email addresses and/or phone numbers. This opt-out registry will apply to all unsolicited bulk messages sent from any of our customers. (Note: Non unsolicited bulk messages will still be delivered to email addresses and/or phone numbers in the global opt-out registry.)
Prohibited Messages
ByRSVP prohibits the use of its services for any activities that are illegal. For example, our services may not be used to engage in fraud, obstruct the use of computers or mobile phones, or sending messages that contain false or misleading advertising or product claims, or that contains pornography.
